Abstract
Secondary datasets from existing models such as the MESH, SPARROW, MODSIM will be collected by collaborating with the modellers within the GWF. Primary datasets including bathymetry, flow and water quality measurements to be used as boundary conditions will be collected from Water Security Agency, Environment and Climate Change Canada ( https://wateroffice.ec.gc.ca/search/historical_e.html ) and SaskWater ( http://www.saskh20.ca/surfacewaterinfo.asp )
Purpose
The project assesses the impacts of climate change on sediment transport and nutrient cycling in the South Saskatchewan River from Lake Diefenbaker to Tobin Lake. The project is essentially water quality components of climate change production runs for the Saskatchewan River Basin. A number of models including MESH, SPARROW, MODSIM, CE-QUAL-W2 and WASP will be loosely coupled to produce daily water quality and sediment variables.
