The sensors_plan.pdf file shows a plan of the experimental setup. 1. Forest inventory File: trees.csv Short description: Dendrometric and position measurements of 161 live and dead trees with height larger than 1.3 m located in the study site. Measurements performed between September 13-14, 2016 and July 27, 2018. File content: comma separated text file, one line by tree. - tree.id: unique identifier - species: Latin name of tree species - diameter.cm: diameter of tree measured with a ruban tape at 1.3 m height, upslope of the tree. - height: total height of tree (vertical distance between tree apex and base), measured with a Haglof Vertex IV hypsometer (or a pole for trees smaller than 3 m). - health: live, dead, stump (felled before 2016-09-13) or «cut 2018-7-25» (felled between 2016-09-13 and 2018-7-25). - crown.ext.N.m, crown.ext.E.m, crown.ext.S.m, crown.ext.W.m: crown extensions (live trees only) in the north, south, east and west directions, respectively, measured with ruban tapes as the horizontal distance between the trunk center and the vertical projection of the furthest live branch along that direction. In case several tree stems were sprouting from a common base, the whole clump was considered to have one single crown and its extension was measured from the stem with the largest diameter in the clump (see next attribute). - clump.largest.tree: in case of a tree sprouting from a clump, tree.id of the tree with the largest diameter in the clump, NA otherwise. - x, y: tree coordinates in the RGF 93 - Lambert 93 projection system. - z: tree altitude in the NGF-IGN69 system. Sensors are named according to the map shown in Figure 1. Data are 15-min [1-min] averages of the sub-canopy incoming shortwave and longwave radiation fluxes (W m -2 ) measured at 5-s time intervals in 2016-17 [2017-18]. The raw data at 5-s time intervals are available from the corresponding author upon request (jean-emmanuel.sicart@ird.fr). 3.
